Jamaica - Day 4 - Blue Hole, Dunn's River Falls and the smaller version of it

Được phát hành: 10.11.2016

Today was all about action. Early in the morning, we left Ocho in a taxi heading towards Blue Hole. On the way to the bus park/taxi stand, we were approached by a guy named 'Waterbird' who works at Blue Hole and asked if we wanted to ride with him in the taxi. After some initial skepticism, he convinced us and we got in.

Of course, Waterbird wanted to be our tour guide as well (tip, etc.). Since the price was not significantly different from the prices circulating on the internet, we agreed.

Since we were very early, we were the first ones at Blue Hole. It is a river in the mountains with several small waterfalls. The water is very deep behind the waterfalls, so you can jump from many places (about 10m high). It's a lot of fun.

Really cool overall.

The next stop was supposed to be Dunn's River Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Jamaica. But how to get there? Unfortunately, very few route taxis passed by Blue Hole and a charter taxi is simply too expensive. So we waited, and by chance, a couple from our hostel passed by with a rental car and gave us a ride. They even took us all the way to Dunn's River Falls.

Once we arrived there and paid, we immediately climbed the waterfall in a group of 7 people (about 200 meters). It was a lot of fun!

When we reached the top, we took some pictures of the waterfall and also enjoyed the beach there. Very beautiful!

We walked back to pass by the smaller Dunn's River. Since it is supervised by the locals, we were approached often. But it was worth it.

We ended the day at the rooftop bar of our hotel.

End of Day 4.
