Fish River Canyon

From Lüderitz, we continue south to our last major stop, the Fish River Canyon. Unfortunately, we cannot go hiking there because it is currently not allowed due to the temperatures reaching around 50 degrees in the canyon.

We have experienced a lot while camping, but we have never seen so many giant crickets at a campsite like here. They are called giant crickets because they are simply huge, with their legs being slightly smaller than my hand. Yes, we both feel disgusted and observe them for a while from our tent before we dare to go down. Sometimes, a quiet longing for a fixed bed and a real roof over our heads flashes through 😅

Highlights: the Fish River Canyon, which is extremely impressive; relaxing by the pool
