2nd Christmas Day

This morning, Martin had a church service in German and a baptism in Spanish. The father is Austrian, the mother is Peruvian, and they live in Spain. It's very international here. Afterwards, there was a big baptism cake for everyone. And a little angel as a keychain. Today, there were interesting new encounters and reunions with familiar faces. Now Martin (and I) are glad to have some time off. It was a tiring week.

By the way, in the morning we are always greeted by a hummingbird at the window. That's what I call a nice wake-up call.

Recently, I was out again, searching for a crochet hook. In vain. I don't know how much time I've already sacrificed for that. What you can easily get at home in Germany is hardly or not at all to be found here. Finally, I got a crochet hook from our secretary. Just an example from everyday life.

Yesterday we were invited for lunch: we had goulash with dumplings and red cabbage, very, very delicious. Afterwards, we had coffee, ice cream, and Christmas pudding in our garden. And in between, we enjoyed the pool. It has gotten noticeably warmer, and the sun is also shining more constantly.

To show you how dusty it is here again: see the last picture. I feel like there's already a basic patina on everything that can't be completely removed even with scrubbing. - That's it for today.
