After more than 20°C in Oslo, we have now arrived in Trondheim with Nordic temperatures. Currently, we are experiencing temperatures between 11 and 13°C! Juliane has already unpacked all her winter clothes and even Paul has bought and is using a jacket. This morning, we took a walk through Trondheim. From the fortress (with a great view of the city), to the cathedral (which was too expensive at €12 per person for the interior view), and Stiftsgården (which doesn't look as impressive as described), we made our way back to our cozy home. The driver had to take a nap first, so we could continue our journey after emptying and refilling activities, just before two o'clock. We have expanded our skills today and now know that the small-looking fjord ferries are not so small and are quite easy to handle. We also now know what 'strengt' and 'Bobilparkering' mean. The former means 'road closed' and the latter means motorhome parking. The former is unwanted and the latter must be actively searched for. With a short ferry ride of 25 minutes, we crossed the Trondheim Fjord and traveled about 100km on the other side. The preferred parking spot (Hysnes Lighthouse) turned out to be too challenging for our motorhome, or rather for the co-driver - we just didn't dare to go down there :) Second attempt at the rest area in Leksvik also failed - camping prohibited! So we drove to a small marina in the city. The drive gave us great views again and unfortunately also 13km of unpaved road - but all is well - we arrived safely.
