So now we are back where we were last year: LOCKDOWN. Announced for 9 days, let's see how long it will be this time...
Otherwise, autumn has arrived in Buenos Aires and our lemons are slowly ripening. To enjoy a few more before going to Germany on the 29th of May, we started harvesting them. But they are still hanging pretty tight.
Today is 'Dia de la revolucion de Mayo' in Argentina, a very important holiday. And traditionally, there is 'Locro', a hearty, thick stew that is very popular in the Andean region. It was already one of the most typical Argentine dishes among the indigenous people.
In the last two pictures, you can see the empty streets of the lockdown. The Panamericana is never seen like in the last picture.
We just hope that on Saturday we manage to get to the airport somehow, since there is a curfew, but we have our documents - fingers crossed!
Now I almost forgot to explain the men in suits and the electrical box. And it so happened that our electrical box started smoking and burning at the beginning of the lockdown. The power had stopped working at night and in the morning, probably due to the continuous rain, the depicted old-fashioned electrical box started smoking. When the Edenor people arrived, everything was gone and they had to replace it, which luckily and with the help of Ignacio went pretty quickly. So the time without electricity was still relatively short (10 hours) and we can always cook here as we have gas - but it looked quite adventurous when everything was smoking and small explosions could be heard...
