Invergordon and Inverness - Scotland

Today we anchor in the port city of Invergordon on the Moray Firth in northern Scotland.

In the midst of the barren Scottish Highlands, which are so rich in nature, we set off for Loch Ness. Even if we didn't see 'Nessie', the monster of the lake 😉, the view of Loch Ness was worth seeing.

Loch Ness is 36.4 km long and covers an area of ​​56.4 square kilometers. The lake is up to 230m deep in places. Temperatures range from 6° - max 15°.

The legend of Nessie goes back to the visit of the holy Columban until the 6th century.

The monster sensed the movement in the water and roared out of the water and plunged with its mouth open on the man who was swimming in the middle of the lake.'

What did the saint do?

When he saw this, he raised his holy hand, while everyone else, his brothers and strangers, were paralyzed with horror. Another attraction of this area is the Scottish Highland whiskies, some of which experts believe are the best in the world.

Of course, we also stopped at a truly Scottish pub and enjoyed a Guinness or a Stout.
