New Year's Eve without noise

Good morning, dear ones,

I apologize for not being able to contact you until today due to flu and fever. 🤧

We celebrated New Year's Eve more or less typically, first with family and then with friends. We were invited to one of the aunts, who assured me that I am always welcome here. The aunts gave me plenty to eat and I had to have a little more conversation in Spanish for the first time. However, I am still far from my goal. Later, a piñata was also provided, but I didn't notice anything about it because we moved on to a party with friends at 11 p.m. 🎉

When we arrived, I had a gin and tonic and Jägermeister. The music was good, the people were friendly, and at exactly 12 o'clock, everyone hugged each other - friend or stranger, it didn't matter. However, we had to leave relatively early (around 2 o'clock) because Eduardo had already had a lot to drink. 🙄

Fun Fact: Firecrackers are prohibited in Nuevo León, so you could only hear isolated fireworks.
