Landed in San Jose

Done. It's me. 12 hours of flight are quite exhausting for me. Although we didn't have any turbulence and everything went smoothly. The wait at customs was also minimal. The meeting with the taxi driver was a bit different. There are like 100 taxi drivers standing around, showing signs and wanting to take you right away. That's a little taste of the hustle and bustle here. But I met my driver Juan on time (phone calls are the only solution...). He was very nice. But I quickly got lost with my Spanish. Doesn't matter. Somehow I still got a few good tips for shopping and eating out. Angel from the hotel is super nice. It's just so nice to be warmly welcomed after a long day. I'm in Casa 69, a small hotel east of downtown. Got some bananas and something to drink, now I'll get some sleep (It's half past 1 in the night in Germany...)

What am I grateful for today? I am grateful that I arrived safely and was able to share the day with nice people.

Tomorrow will be an exploration tour first.
