20th stage from Sallinas to Muros de Salon

Last night we had zamburinas as an appetizer, very delicious.... and then a main course, dessert and 2 cold beers... mmmmh! (Pilgrimage or gourmet tour?).

Then, like millions of others, WhatsApp let me down. Yesterday I praised it, and now it's down. No video call with Monika, but at least a late phone call.

Today I walked the stage together with Michael. We agreed to meet at 08:00. Checking out of my surf hostel was extremely uncomplicated, everyone was still asleep when I made myself a cortado from the machine and headed out... no keys, all doors open, easy living.

Since I walked further than originally planned yesterday, I redesigned the route, as you can guess, yes, more sea. Michael agreed and so we set off in good spirits. After a little over 2 hours and only 2 small detours, we reach the bay I had planned. So far so good, but the weather isn't quite cooperating. The 20% chance of rain predicted for today has decided to grace our stretch of coast. It's also very windy, so instead of an umbrella this time it's a rain jacket.... and it was necessary too. (Proper North Sea weather)

But just as quickly as the rain came, it was gone again. In the next town we have 2 cortados instead of one and everything is fine.

The end of my stage is not far now. And it's time to say goodbye. Michael is going a few more kilometers. He doesn't have as much time as I do, so he has planned a much tighter daily schedule for the rest of the tour. We will stay in touch... via WhatsApp.

My hostel is very nice, I'm currently alone in the booked double room. Breakfast is not until 08:00 tomorrow, so I'll just have to stay in bed longer.

Today is laundry day again. The small dryer, some hostels have models like that, is really great. I hang up my hiking socks outside, so the wind can blow away the smell of the past few days. When I take out my phone to write this blog, I realize that I forgot to turn off Komoot. ----- As you can see from the picture, my walk wasn't that long. The town is very 'manageable', but nice. Almost a work of art, this little picture.

Now I'm getting ready for dinner. Let's see what the kitchen has to offer today.
