Friday - Weekend in Abu Dhabi.

We spend today with the whole family and the kids at Saadiyat Beach Club on Saadiyat Island. A bit more luxurious than Kai Beach - but the entry fee is also "salty". We want to enter with our Entertainer 2:1 vouchers - unfortunately, the vouchers do not apply on weekends 😰

Normally, kids aged 6-12 pay a child rate of 70 AED on weekdays, kids 12 and above pay the adult rate of 195 AED. Quite steep... On weekends, it's 105 AED per child and 295 AED per adult. Not exactly a bargain...

With our vouchers, we would have definitely saved one adult ticket. Since our daughter is already 13, we would have had to pay 295 AED extra...

Our godchildren are under 6 years old - they would be free anyway.

Well - what now??? So 990 AED (almost 250 € 😱😱😱😱) for chilling at the beach is really too much for us! We discuss this briefly with our family and decide to go to Kai Beach, when the nice lady at the reception suggests a compromise. If we were willing to have lunch at the club, she would let the kids in for free and add a voucher for the meal. Okay, that's a deal. So instead of 990 AED, we only pay 590 AED (about 150 €). Still a lot of money, but the prices here on the weekends are really outrageous. Nevertheless, we want to have a nice day here! We have a large pool with a chill lounge and sunbeds, in the pool there is a huge inflatable flamingo and a swan.

The view of the beach is gorgeous, the beach itself is amazing. We shuttle back and forth throughout the day - sometimes beach, sometimes pool, and enjoy the chill day to the fullest. For lunch, the kids have fries, we have sandwiches. Oh yeah, you can really stay here!!!

We stay until evening - such a great day at the beach must be enjoyed until the end!!!
