Today is the last day on Phu Quoc and it will be spent in a relaxed manner. We only want to briefly visit the capital Duong Dong, which is located about 3 km to the north, and then spend the day at the beach.

The way to Duong Dong leads us along the golden Long Beach for about half an hour. Upon arrival in Duong Dong, we will be greeted by the bustling chaos of a typical Asian small town. We want to find a tailor or seamstress there who can repair some seams on our day pack backpack. After some time, we find what we are looking for at a small roadside stand and, with a brief explanation using hand signals, have our backpacks repaired for €2 in 10 minutes. After exploring the city a bit more, we make our way back home, as we still need time to doze off at the beach. However, for the return journey to the hostel, we take a taxi for €1.60 to avoid the midday heat.

The rest of the day is spent at the beach. We lie around, swim, listen to music, and finally have dinner there during the sunset. Back at the hostel, we just pack and sleep.

Tomorrow we will go to Can Tho, the unofficial capital of the Mekong Delta, by bus, boat, and bus.

Mir würde es sehr schwer fallen, diese traumhafte Insel zu verlassen. Ich bin mal gespannt auf euer nächstes Reiseziel und wünsche euch dabei wieder viel Glück. 🤗
