Today we will start the morning in a relaxed way as it is still raining. We plan for a shorter tour to the west coast, to be precise, to Hallsvik in the early afternoon. Hälleviksstrand is not as crowded as some other places on the west coast. There is not even a grocery store here, only a kiosk and a fast food stand in the harbor. Hälleviksstrand has only 250 permanent residents. In the summer, there are about the same number of residents from vacation homes. Luxurious new summer houses are also being built in the cliffs, which is giving the village a boost. Summer vacations with views of the archipelago and the sea are very popular, and it is not only wealthy Norwegians and Swedes who buy newly built luxury houses here. There is also a small museum in the village that shows how people lived here in the 19th century. Hälleviksstrand primarily lived from fishing and trade back then.
