«The magnificent residence of the Dukes of Burgundy, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List twice, is the capital of the new large region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. And not just in terms of administration, but also in terms of gastronomy and lifestyle. Dijon impresses with its elegant architecture, southern flair and feel-good atmosphere in keeping with the times. This is how our “Baedeker” sums it up quite well.
Every now and then a little Parisian breeze blows through the city center. What is particularly impressive are the sacred buildings, of which there are plenty to marvel at in Dijon. We strolled through Dijon for a day and saw as much as possible during this time, including a visit to the Museum of Fine Arts. We treated ourselves to a Plat de jour in a brasserie on the large square in front of the Duke's Palace and drank a glass of Burgundy with it. And of course watched the hustle and bustle on the Place de la Liberation.
