Our last day in Chiang Mai was action-packed. First we hiked through the jungle for two hours with a guide. The German TÜV would never have approved this route. It was really cool, crossing the river several times, along narrow gorges and over hill and dale. The waterfall and the wonderful cooling off were reward enough. Afterwards we went rafting. Since it's not the rainy season, it was more of a relaxed trip, but the guide did enough nonsense with us in the rapids... there are basically no wild elephants in the jungle anymore. It's called domestic elephants here. But live almost like in freedom. It was a great experience to see these wonderful animals up close. In the evening we strolled through the old town again and found a really good Thai restaurant. There were raw oysters… naturally spicy. Tomorrow we're going to Vietnam 🇻🇳
