I am in the middle of my second week of work. The first few days of working were exhausting and I worked from 6-14:30. In the beginning there is a lot of input and a lot to learn. And sometimes I find the approach complicated....But for my work I receive a lot of praise and recognition. They are impressed with how quickly I learn. Currently, I am enjoying two days off, the first one I spent at Sunshine Beach.
The beach was very empty and I enjoyed the peace and just being alone.
At the moment, both staff rooms are full, which means there is little privacy, but you also never feel alone. Today my favorite German girl left :( But since we live close to each other in Germany, hopefully there will be a reunion! Last week, we wanted to do the Coastal Walk together, but we didn't get very far because it started raining, but we still had fun :) Unfortunately, it was already dark on the way back and we had to walk through the dark national park, we were really scared of the animals that could be waiting for us, but we made it back to the hostel without any incidents. And as a reward, we had hot dogs like every Sunday :)
I saved the 5 dollars per ride to Sunshine Beach and I am glad about it, it was only about 30-40 minutes on foot and the way was very nice and there was a lot to discover. The way could also be an alternative for my jogging route to the Laguna Lookout.
At Laguna Lookout, I was also there with my roommates again this week *-* This time with a photo, so beautiful pictures were created, which will probably decorate my room/apartment at home!
This week I have already planned my next journey, which gives me a lot of joy, which might explain my choice of profession :P I compare tours and prices, it can't hurt to start now :) I will continue my journey to Brisbane in mid-April, where I will meet friends :) And I am considering and planning what else I can discover here :) I want to go to the Everglades, the Eumundi Market, the Garden Falls and in March there is a huge surf event here for a week! I am looking forward to telling you about the experiences and sending you lovely and sunny greetings from Australia <3
