Day 2. What did we forget?

So let's get started, I want to start with a very cool sunrise that we were able to admire.

After the first coffee, due to lack of power connection an instant coffee 🤢and a small breakfast, a short hike to a waterfall was on the agenda. After a few meters of climbing, where our Nala turned out to be a mountain goat, we were there. Tascha skipped the climbing and went back to the camper van with Constantin. Lotte, Nala, and I were rewarded by standing right next to the waterfall.

When we arrived back at the camper van, Tascha told me that she forgot Nala's vaccination record. But this day had more surprises in store for us. After a short phone call with our veterinary clinic, we received an email with proof of vaccination and the chip number. Thanks to the veterinary practice Blendinger, who quickly minimized our worries. The next surprise revealed itself shortly after the Italian border, where our navigation system suddenly couldn't find any more roads 😳and even Italy itself couldn't be selected. I had done a map update shortly before the vacation and put the maps on the memory card. As Google informed us, the maps should have been on the internal memory of the navigation system 😤 It's almost frustrating, the solution would be so simple, just drag and drop the maps onto the device, but without a laptop, this is an unresolved obstacle until now. Everyone we have asked so far immediately said, 'We're on vacation 😎, we don't bring a laptop with us.' So for now, we have to rely on our phones for navigation. Let's see if we can solve this in the coming days.

After a long day, we didn't feel like it anymore in the afternoon and drove to a campsite after a truly 178km 😂, where we were able to stand in the middle of a small forest for €20 including electricity and hot showers thanks to our ACSI card.    

                                   

Oh yes, here I realized that I had forgotten the extension cable.   🙈 So the camper van had to be taken off the blocks again, moved closer to the power box so that the connection works without an extension cable. Align the camper van with the leveling ramps again. And now it's finally enough for today. For tomorrow: Off to a hardware store and buy an extension cable. This would be so easy with a functioning navigation system 😭

PS. Weather sunny and pleasant 27 degrees at the Three Peaks in the Dolomites. So far, we have been almost alone on the campsites and parking areas.
