Malaysia 2.0

Çap edildi: 22.06.2023

After our 'detour' to India, we are back in Malaysia, specifically Kuala Lumpur. Since we love the city so much, we stay there for over a week and visit more attractions and interesting neighborhoods.

For example, the Batu Caves.

Munch

Or even Chinatown.

The REX KL is very cool. A cultural center located in an old cinema. There is a café, various snack/food stalls, a big library, and an art exhibition.

Oh there you are!

We treat ourselves to a stay at the Capri Hotel for a few days. It is a luxurious hotel in a skyscraper. It's great to be able to relax for a few days in a fantastic accommodation with breakfast.

Rooftop Pool

After a few days in the big city, we crave for more nature. So we continue to the Cameron Highlands. An added benefit is that it is much more pleasant in terms of temperature at the higher altitude.

Large parks
Strawberries as far as the eye can see
Mmmmmm
Baaaaah

After the Highlands, we go to a nearby, lesser-known city named Ipoh. We book a great Airbnb with a kitchen and enjoy not having to chase after attractions.

After a few relaxing days in Ipoh, we go back to Kuala Lumpur one last time. We have fallen in love with the city and want to see the last few attractions and visit the best restaurants and cafés again.

We especially wanted to go back to KL because of the Bird Park.

Our last stop in Malaysia is Melaka. A historic port city that was particularly important for the Portuguese and Dutch colonists.

After over a month, we leave Malaysia. So far, it has been our longest stay in a country. Malaysia has surprised us and is one of our highlights.
