Big Buddha & Tai O

On Sunday we took advantage of the great weather again and went to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha. There were cows roaming freely and everyone was taking selfies with them, but since we've seen enough cows already, we skipped that. We climbed up the stairs right away and took a close look at the Big Buddha and enjoyed the view. Then we went to the nearby Po Lin Monastery and had a snack. It was a very sticky affair and you were surprised with every bite whether it was sweet or savory. ;)

After our meal, we walked down the mountain to Tai O, a fishing village. It was a stark contrast to the city with super small tin houses, where one floor was as tall as me or smaller. Anyway, we ate the famous Egg Waffles there with a super cool grandpa. It was delicious but tasted just like a waffle. I was a little disappointed. ;) But it was still a great day and calls for more. :)
