The castle in Hiroshima, which was destroyed by the atomic bomb and completely restored, is a tourist attraction.
Naturally, we didn't miss out on visiting it, especially since the exhibits include real samurai swords! The different power relations and territorial shifts during the Edo period are described in quite detail under various emperors.
What I learned: Becoming a ruler was not difficult, but remaining one was very challenging.
There is also the opportunity to wear clothing from that time and take selfies!
I was so clumsy when trying to do that, that four Japanese women suddenly (without being asked!) helped me, untangled me, and professionally dressed me.
I had no say in the matter, I was only informed when to change positions through short commands and assertive pushing.
