We visit the fishing village of Henningsvaer with one of the most famous football stadiums in the world. Many people know the football stadium from TV. It is located on a small island and is surrounded by water. Coincidentally, today is also the Pride Day in this small town and there are readings, discussion rounds and a party by the sea in the evening. The place is decorated in rainbow colors. Generally, you can see how crowded the Lofoten Islands are right now. There are hardly any locals and you hear a lot of German along the way. The many small parking lots along the road are full and there are also passing bays at narrow road sections. We only walk sporadically through the small city center and quickly escape the hustle and bustle and sometimes prefer to enjoy the drive across the islands. The campsites are also very crowded at the moment. If you still want to choose a spot yourself, you have to arrive in the morning. By evening, some campsites are already fully occupied, just like all parking lots and passing bays. However, if you avoid the typical tourist hotspots, you can experience nature almost on your own and very quietly. So now we are looking for more rather atypical destinations.
