And another country is conquered, we are now in Sweden! But there is still much to report from Finland. Our accommodation was the northernmost of our entire trip and despite all expectations of icy cold, we experienced our hottest day so far. Likewise, the night before was very long, as it simply did not want to get dark. Around 3 o'clock, we gave up and went to sleep anyway, but we woke up at 8 o'clock in the morning, drenched in sweat due to the heat. We spent the day in the water, reading or even doing sports. We could easily get used to this holiday mode if we didn't want to see more of the overwhelming Scandinavian countries. Yesterday the journey continued, and we decided to take a 200 km detour. After all, one is not always so close to the Arctic Circle, so we made a little side trip there before crossing the border to Sweden. We would have actually reached our destination on the Swedish coast of the Baltic Sea around 5 p.m. Unfortunately, luck was not as faithful to us in the search for a place this time as it was the previous two times. We searched for a solid 3 hours for a place. But in the end, our endurance was rewarded and we found a small hidden sandy beach by the lake, where we can dine just one meter away from the water. Fortunately, thanks to the time change, we were given another hour, which made the search not seem so long. Meanwhile, we are pretty sure that we could fill a 10-liter bucket with dead mosquitoes at the end of the trip. In conclusion, we can say that we like every country we come to even better than the previous one, and astonishingly, we have always improved our accommodations so far!
