4.10.18 Montreal

We woke up well rested in the morning. Now we wanted to explore Montreal until we could board in the afternoon. Our joy was great in the morning when we realized that it was not raining contrary to the weather forecasts. Our joy was short-lived. As soon as we left the hotel, it rained cats and dogs. We marched towards the old town, refreshed ourselves with coffee and bagel. In the meantime, the rain subsided a bit. The old town with its various churches, the old port is very beautiful and we could already see the AIDA at the harbor. After a Caesar salad for lunch in a trendy restaurant, we wanted to explore the largest underground shopping center in the world. In Montreal, many things are connected underground. However, since we didn't feel like shopping and the orientation was not so easy, we decided to go back to the hotel and slowly make our way to our home for the next ten days, the Aida. Using Uber, a very easy and affordable way to get from A to B here, we drove to the port. The check-in on the ship went smoothly and we could already occupy our dreamlike balcony cabin. Together, we explored the ship a bit, enjoyed the warm sunshine until our luggage arrived in the cabin. Not much was happening on the ship tonight, as many people only arrived later in the evening.
