We decide to take a detour to the nature reserve of Norrfällsvikens. The High Coast is a well-known coastal area in the Swedish province.
The higher we go, the lonelier it gets here.
Here it looks just like Pippi Longstocking and Michel from Lönneberga. One Villa Villekulla next to the other and lots of Katthult farms, just as you imagined Sweden as a child. Good thing I watched so much TV...
We found a nice spot, right on the beach. There is also a sauna on the beach with a view of the sea, and next to it are two hot tubs that you can rent, not bad... the Swedes know how to do it...!
In the morning after our arrival day, surprisingly we both wake up relatively early and start the day at 8 o'clock... it seems we have no shortage of sleep here, we usually recap around 10 o'clock in the evening and disappear into the pillows.
We set off and go around the nature reserve once, following the blue trail. No idea what to expect, we'll be surprised. We walk through deep forests, sometimes follow the coastal road, pass the beautiful fishing village and climb over thousands of rocks that stretch for kilometers.
Today we learned: Don't stand still in the forest... otherwise you get sucked dry immediately by mosquitoes or eaten by the fat little forest ants... they don't waste time!
Unfortunately, we didn't see any moose, just a lot of moose poop... but during the hike, there was hardly an opportunity to see them, as we constantly had our heads down looking at our feet to avoid falling on our faces. Oh my goodness!
I also think that this saying originated right here, when someone took the blue route and said to themselves, 'Oh my goodness'... what you signpost as a hiking trail here... something must be wrong with you!
But it was beautiful, pure nature. We were rewarded with great views of the coast and impressive forests.
In the evening, we just had a beer with a delicious salad and fried salmon, then it was time to lie down.
We had breakfast in the sun in the morning. Delicious coffee and freshly baked bread... thanks to Rowi's super toaster... it's often in use.
Then everything packed up and off we go!
