Last Days in 🇳🇿

We were in Hamilton, where there was a large garden with different themed gardens. From India to Italy, everything was represented. We walked through it for over an hour and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

The next day, we made a stop at Hot Water Beach, where you could dig a hole in the sand with a shovel and if you dug deep enough, you could sit in the warm water because there was a hot spring underneath. Unfortunately, the tide was high when we were there.

Then we continued to the Waipu Caves. There was a campsite right next to it where we could stay overnight. We chose this option because it was free and we could explore it on our own. You have to pay a lot to visit the larger caves, and you don't see much. We took a 1 1/2 hour hike because we thought it would lead us to the caves. But we realized that it only led to a lookout point. The caves were right below the parking lot. We entered the dark cave, took off our shoes, and walked through water and mud deeper into the cave. After 10 minutes, we were deep inside, and when we turned off the lights, we could see thousands of glowworms shining on the ceiling. It was simply indescribable.

The next day, we went to Cape Reinga. There, we hiked for 20 minutes to a lighthouse. It was raining heavily and windy that day. Then we made a stop at the huge sand dunes.

On the last day, we explored Auckland. We strolled through the city and finally enjoyed being in a big city again.

An eventful time in New Zealand is now ending, with many great and amazing experiences. Next stop, Bali.☀️
