Adventure can begin...

We set off relatively early in the morning towards Melbourne airport to pick up our car. When we arrived at the car rental, we had to fill out some paperwork first and received a brief introduction to what insurance and everything is included! Then we loaded all our stuff and the first drive with left-hand traffic started.

At first, it was really unusual to drive on the other side and do everything the other way around than in Germany. We quickly went shopping and then headed towards the 12 Apostles. We drove along the Great Ocean Road, a very beautiful route at the beginning along the sea (very curvy), then it led us through a rainforest, the landscape constantly changed.

After a 400km drive, we finally arrived at the 12 Apostles. After that, we continued towards the campsite, but the first one we wanted to go to was closed! So we quickly had to find a new one, which we fortunately found right away. First night sleeping in the car..
