Day 21 - Hiking in Wilsons Promontory National Park

ተሓቲሙ: 18.01.2023

In Australia, we have already noticed several times that the weather can change dramatically from day to day. Yesterday it was 35 degrees with bright sunshine, and today it's 17 degrees and raining. We set off in the morning to Wilsons Promontory National Park. There are several hiking trails there. We decide to take the path that promises wildlife sightings, and we are not disappointed. First, we see a large group of white cockatoos, and then some kangaroos. We spot a mother with her young one just 10 meters away, lovingly grooming it. After the trail, we continue to a beautiful hiking path with a viewpoint of the coast. Then we head to Whisky Bay. On the way back, we spot a wombat by the roadside. It's not bothered by us and peacefully munching on grass. We escort it across the road and unfortunately have to leave it alone eventually.

In the evening, we drive to Meeniyan and once again have the choice for dinner between a pub in town or options 15 kilometers away. We opt for pizza at the local pub and plan for the next few days in the evening.
