23rd day of travel

We plan to leave Norway and head towards Oslo to get on the highway. The mountains are getting lower, the valley wider. We are approaching the sea, passing lakes, rivers, and lovely landscapes again. We pass Oslo through construction sites and inevitable traffic jams. Fredrikstad is said to be a pretty old town. So we will check it out. The charming town allows a journey back in time to the 17th century. Its historic core Gamlebyen is surrounded by a wide moat and a rampart armed with 200 cannons. Today you can find many antique shops, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants in the narrow streets. Very nice. We don't feel like driving further and find a campsite idyllically located in a pine forest right on the Oslofjord. Norway just won't let us go😉🇳🇴
