Days 9 & 10: Break in Copenhagen

ተሓቲሙ: 05.09.2024

Ahoy sailors, 🏴‍☠️

Is everyone back on board?

Because it's getting serious again!

Tomorrow we embark on the longest leg of the tour with 250 km.

Expected arrival time is 2 AM 😴.

Well, fortunately not all of it; I'll be taking the ferry for half of the distance. I will probably have dinner at the buffet during the 1.5-hour ferry ride.

The following day will be another 120+ km.

So it's going to be a tough start to the second half.

What can I tell you about Copenhagen:

Ratings:

  • Reffen Streetfood Market 10/10
  • Sights 9/10
  • Harbor 9/10
  • Torvehallene Market Hall 8/10
  • Free State of Christiania 8/10
  • Zoo 7.5/10
  • City center 7/10
  • Experimentarium 5/10
  • Public Piano Availability 0/10 🥲
  • Money -1/10
  • Tivoli not rated, probably from 9/10 (if you hardly have to queue) to 5/10 (if you have to wait at least 30 min everywhere)

Overall impression is positive; large city, many attractions, free sunbathing at the harbor, lots of culinary offerings and highlights.

Anyone who is social and enjoys hanging out can actually spend all their time in Holmen (Reffen). Unique and free entry.

So enough talking, now actions need to follow. Exhausting days await me as the next destinations are Aarhus and Aalborg, numbers 2 and 3 among the major cities in Denmark.

So much traffic and sights.

Fun fact: As a cyclist, you always raise your right hand 🤚 and take an oath when you turn or stop at an intersection. Everything is very pious here..

Maybe the radical cyclists in Berlin should take a look at this…

See you tomorrow 🙏
