20.10.2021 Arrival in Rio de Janeiro

Our plane took off at 02:20 am from Belém. After a short layover in Belo Horizonte, we finally arrived at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro at 07:15 am. Our hotel, B&B Rio Copacabana Posto 5, is located directly on a parallel street to Copacabana, less than 200m from the beach.
The hotel has the same quality as in Germany, the room is very clean, and the breakfast is absolutely sufficient.
After checking into the room, we walked along the beach at Copacabana. A really great beach and not crowded at all!
After exploring the area around the hotel, we decided to spend the evening at the Boteco Belmonte restaurant. The appetizers were empadas with meat, catupiry, and shrimp. Very delicious and highly recommended!
For the main course, we had beef with sautéed potatoes and fish with farofa and rice, accompanied by a tasty tomato sauce.
