Hoi An - only 50 minutes by bus from Da Nang - I arrived after spending two days in Da Nang.
Hoi An quickly became my favorite village in Vietnam. Colorful lanterns are scattered throughout the village, which has a stunning effect at night. There are also beautiful beaches here, but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy them much due to the rainy weather.
Nevertheless, the city is delightful. A typical dish of the area is called Cao Lau and consists of very thick rice noodles, salad, soy sauce, chicken in thin slices and fried flatbread. Delicious, I must say. The old town is packed with tailoring shops, real silk, dresses like in a fairy tale, a colorful mix of food, a lively market that smells of fruits, and the river in the middle of the village where colorful boats go up and down. The ice cream is homemade and rolled into rolls, which looks super funny when they do it. Just a place to relax and unwind.
A small theater was built here from bamboo, where I watched only one of the 'Lune Performance' shows. It was by far the best theater I have ever been to. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed, but here is a link to the show:

The next exciting thing about Hoi An was: I met my new travel companion. A young traveler from Colombia, who brings an incredibly funny, adventurous spirit. From now on, everything will be really exciting, because from that moment on, nothing was planned anymore, but decisions were made spontaneously and there was a lot of laughter.
More about that in the next report ;)
