Seattle with the wonderful Isabelle

What could be better than watching whales after waking up? A large specimen swims in the waves between the seals and repeatedly blows its spouts into the air.

We head towards Seattle where we have arranged to meet Isabelle, a former student of Amelia's. After two years of au pairing, she found love in Seattle and got married, now calling the city her home. She shows us beautiful viewpoints and the market. The skyline is impressive!

Time flies quickly during the shared exchange, chatting and strolling, and we have to say goodbye... :(

A dinner and a concert visit in the Ballard district sweeten our evening. Unfortunately, finding an overnight place near the Washington State Fair in Puyallup proves to be difficult and we go to bed late.
