Here we go - Part 2

Lissi here we come - finally the time has come. Despite the announced traffic chaos, we made it to the airport on time - who would have thought?! :D

There were minor problems during check-in, but we were able to sort that out first. Then we had beer to calm our nerves before and during the flight :D

First stage done: London. We note; London airport is huge and Latam Airlines doesn't have a service desk, so we couldn't check in until we got to the gate. But first there was something to eat. London Airport offers a culinary journey. Because we would have had to wait too long for Japanese ramen, we decided on the London Breakfast Club. Asma ordered English breakfast (at 8 p.m. in the evening) and got English tea. Nothing else was available except for burgers - so we had burgers. 👌

On the plane to Lima we didn't think ahead and didn't secure a row of three seats like everyone else - there were very few passengers on board - so we spent part of the night on top of each other and in contorted positions :D That's how you get closer to each other haha. Plaice: "I was very happy about my neck pillow! ;)"

Yuhuu arrived in Peru and was immediately ripped off by the taxi driver, but he seemed like a good guy. Well, whatever... when we arrived at the Airbnb, we had to struggle with a few language barriers, but were able to leave our backpacks there and go into the city center - in search of SIM cards. Lima is a very loud and chaotic city, but people go about their daily business in a relatively relaxed manner and it sometimes happens that we spend over an hour in the cell phone store. Finally done: Internet is up and Asma remembers that she could have downloaded Spanish as the language in Google Translate so that we can also use the translator offline. We could have thought of that at the airport, it would have saved us a few mishaps, but also funny encounters. We now have a backup ready, we will of course continue to practice and use our Spanish diligently ;) Now all we have to do is wait for Lissi and then it's time for a proper girls' evening - we certainly have a lot to tell each other :D
