Sometimes you have to take time to rest.

The beauty of pilgrimages is that you can take as much time as you want. So we decided to stay in Vila Do Conde today to take care of minor aches and pains.

We could only manage a short walk.

There was a pretty big, well-visited weekly market, the coast with wild waves, a beautiful church, and the famous aqueduct up close. History you can touch, if you will.

While we were there, we were surprised by rain showers, which made us cut our visit short.

But as Grandma R. from Berlin says, after every shower comes sunshine again...
