I arrived safely, the laundry is at the dry cleaner's and hopefully it will be fresh and ironed by tomorrow (costs ~1€/kg)!
I already took a first walk through Old Town...everything is much calmer here and noticeably still in rainy season. Some restaurants haven't even opened yet, and those that are open seem to close quite early in the evening!?🤔
In the evening, I went to a night market to get something to eat, but we only arrived shortly before ten and most of the stalls were already being taken down😬
But I still managed to get some food...noodles with pork and huge noodles with a creamy sauce🍜 It wasn't really spicy but it was amazingly delicious! I didn't take a photo of it but I definitely have to eat it again!
I was advised against renting a scooter in Thailand because there are supposedly a lot of police checks for an international driver's license here. A police check here means paying cash, something will always be found🤔
Since I don't have an international driver's license, nor a permit to drive the scooters available for rent/purchase here (110cc), I will skip the scooter ride in Thailand.
On the other hand, no one seems to care in Laos and Vietnam, etc...I will definitely test that out!🛵🚨🏍
There are already people snoring to my left and right here in the dorm and I'm exhausted too, so... Good night!😴
