After indulging in a cappuccino at a charming little café in Cann River, we headed to Mallacoota in the morning. After a winding drive, we enjoyed our breakfast in the sun right on the shore of the inlet, which branches out into numerous arms.
Feeling energized, we went on two hikes in Croajingolong National Park. One along the shore of the inlet (at the Narrows) and one along the coastline from Betka Beach to Quarry Beach. The latter was particularly beautiful, although both were overshadowed by thick clouds. In the end, we were caught in a thunderstorm. We had already been on the road for almost 5 hours, so it was enough anyway.
After a hearty dinner, Birgit gave it her all once again, we took a little evening stroll. Right across from the campsite is a school with a sports field. Numerous kangaroos gathered there to taste the green grass. Lawn care Australian style!
