Tag 44 Bin El Oudane - Ouzoud

Our destination today is the Ouzoud Waterfall. We knew it would be touristy there, but when we drove into the town, we were shocked. Well, it's Sunday, so everyone is out and about. We drove straight through the town in shock. We stopped outside to reconsider. Okay, we're already here, so it would be silly to just keep driving. We turned left off the main road and lo and behold, we soon found a nice parking spot by the river. Mr. Garmin also found a way to the waterfall. The path goes along the river through olive groves, it's really beautiful here. After about 5km, we reached the waterfall. There are actually a lot of Moroccans here, probably out for a Sunday outing. It's somehow nice to feel the joy of the people. We walked down to the lower basin. You can even take a boat to get right up to the waterfall. It's a really short distance, but the locals are standing in line. Nice atmosphere here. We quickly visited the monkeys, but I think that's more of a tourist attraction. They're being well fed. Of course, we had to walk back again, we arrived just before dark. At least it was 11km, which we haven't walked together for a long time.
