Stage 139: From Verona to Comacchio

After my short stay in beautiful Verona, I had to get to Rimini within two days to annoy my future brother-in-law and his girlfriend during their vacation. That was very motivating and so today I reached the 170 km mark again.

After about 100 kilometers, I arrived in Ferrara. But I still had a long way to go, so I had to skip sightseeing in the city. Instead, I planned to reach the Mediterranean Sea today. I arrived in Comacchio just in time for sunset and had already bought enough supplies. But there was still a little way to go to a campsite, and it was completely dark. Unfortunately, I could only find a kind of resort and I was just glad that the reception was still open. The pitches were definitely not suitable for tents, the ground was too hard to put pegs in. It was more suitable for a comfortable family vacation with a campervan. But the shower and access to a beach were still worth it to me.
