We stay at a small lake called Blackwell Lake. We are in a nature reserve here and swimming is not allowed. But we take a walk around the beautiful lake in the evening. There are many ducks, geese, and swans here. Schnuffi is thrilled, but the feathered creatures flee...
We barbecue in front of the bus and enjoy grilled zucchini with meat and salad.
The next morning we continue towards Nailsea to a larger reservoir called Chew Valley Lake. It is 1200 hectares in size and the fifth-largest artificial lake in the United Kingdom. We walk a stretch of the Grebe Trail along the lake. Here, the reeds grow so tall that you can hardly see anything of the lake. The path around the lake is covered with many prohibition signs...
It's a beautiful sunny day and we fold out the camping chairs and make ourselves comfortable in the shade on a meadow.
