In the morning I took the shuttle bus from the hotel to the waterfront. From a distance I could watch the "Serenade of the Seas" arrive.
I walked to the cruise terminal where my floating home was docked. I recognized some of the passengers, some recognized me, and we waved to each other. When the passengers were able to disembark, I greeted some of them personally.
Then I went back into the hustle and bustle of the waterfront until I found the Karibu restaurant, whose menu had caught my eye on the way there. The Venison Potjie was excellent.
My next destination was the "Two Oceans Aquarium". This beautifully designed aquarium shows the incredible diversity of the underwater world in an impressive way and promotes the protection of the oceans and also of sharks.
I had a nice chat with one of the scientists there who let me hold the bony spine of a stingray. The spine is more massive than I thought and I'm glad I was only bitten and not stung.
Then I walked past many shops to the point where the shuttle bus was supposed to pick me up. There I met two fellow travelers with whom I drove back to the hotel.
