In the middle of the island of Java lies Yogyakarta, the cultural capital of Indonesia. After 9 relaxing days on the Togians, a bit of culture is now on the program.

We started the first day there with a cozy breakfast together. Then we set off on foot towards the city to visit the Water Castle (Tama Sari). We continued by TukTuk to the famous Maliaborostraße, where life was pulsing and we also visited the Pasar Beringharjo.

The heat and hunger made us return to the accommodation for a while to cool off in the pool. The highlight of the first day in Yogya, as it is known by the locals, followed in the evening with a visit to Pasar Kengan. From exotic food to fresh fruit juices and sweets, there was everything you could desire at this street food market, and we were impressed by the many impressions and tasted some delicious treats.
