Yesterday I took the bus from Cork to Kilkenny. The journey took me along the east coast of Ireland to Waterford and from there further to Kilkenny. It took about 2 hours and 45 minutes. So I also got an impression of the east coast. It's also beautiful. Since my hotel is located a bit outside of Kilkenny, I took the way there with some intentional detours and got the first nice impressions of this city. Kilkenny really has a beautiful old town center. Today I was in the city all day and yes, I was also in the brewery. The brewery is no longer in production, it is now just a museum. The well-known beer is now produced in Dublin. It was a very interesting and entertaining tour and the pint of Smithwick's at the end also tasted good. Among other things, I also visited the castle and the cathedral of the city. I was also in a really nice and cozy pub and tried Irish Stew there. It was tasty and rich. Dinner was skipped today. Kilkenny is definitely worth a visit. But mine is already over. Tomorrow I'm already going back to Dublin. I already know what to expect there.
