The next morning we drove to 'New Plymouth'.
From there you can see the 'Mount Taranaki' from almost anywhere.
A 2518 meter high volcano, which is considered the most dangerous mountain in New Zealand, as several accidents have occurred here, some of which have been fatal.
It is the second largest mountain on the North Island and in winter it is completely covered in snow, as we discovered on a glass wall in the city.
There were also beautiful murals in New Plymouth, just like in Kaikoura.
On the beach, about 20 meters from the shore, we saw an orca. It is very rare to see one and we were really lucky!
In the evening, we visited a cinema and watched 'Fifty Shades of Grey 3'.
