Today we have two must-see places on the agenda.
Locorotondo is built in a circle, has incredibly beautiful little streets and, how could it be otherwise, a church in the middle. Unlike ours, the church bells sound slightly hectic. Jürgen thinks it could also be a fire alarm.
As we walk past we are actively wooed by a panini man. He is successful, after an extensive tour and without breakfast we are ready…. He tells me exactly what he puts on the panini, for me and for Jürgen. He shows it to me and calls it “beautiful”!
And they taste really delicious. There is no white wine, only rosé. It was also delicious... However, after the panini we were so stuffed that we didn't have an appetite until the evening. And I only had half...
Alberobello is our next stop. A place whose center is full of trulli. Small round houses that were originally built so that they could be quickly dismantled when the tax investigation came. In the meantime, of course, they are used for tourism and are permanently built. However, there is construction work everywhere here too. And the orange fences don't look so great.
But we still like it here. Unfortunately, when it gets dark, they fold up all the sidewalks. Wrong season...
We spend the night on the pitch directly in Alberobello. Tomorrow we'll be back on the water. Unfortunately the weather will get worse in the next few days.
