The day started with a birthday breakfast, as there was a 19-year-old to celebrate.
We started off strengthened and passed by the main buildings of the city, such as the opera house and the harbor.
After so much nature in the last few days, we longed for something green, so we decided to visit one of the three islands of the city. We decided that Djurgården is the right choice, as it is both a park and a sightseeing hotspot with all its museums.
The weather didn't find our ambitions quite appealing and lured us into the technical museum.
With the current exhibition MegaMind, the Swedes scored a hit with us. The focus of it was the human senses together with modern technology for interactive experiences.
The highlight: painting a picture with your eyes.
None of us thought that we would have to leave the museum due to its closing time, and there would have been so much more to discover. (We already had a 3-hour stay :D)
The weather had improved and, feeling generous, we went shopping. But the reminder that we would have to carry what we bought in our not-so-light backpacks quickly set in.
For a change, we had noodles for dinner today, which were enjoyed in good company.
To end the birthday celebrations, we finally moved to the bar.
But don't worry, because alcohol is considered a luxury here.
We now fall into bed satisfied and we hope you can do the same.
(Sidefact: 23km walked)
