Stranded in Sydney, tiredness and longing for 'coming home' overwhelmed us.
Traveling is beautiful - totally beautiful - when the time frame, personal attitude, and life circumstances align -
when not much happens at home, when one is hungry for change and new impressions every day, when physical well-being is good despite a lack of routine...
then traveling is incredibly beautiful, inspiring, and refreshing!
After a while, things like this happen - you become an aunt and long to hold your nephew in your arms - friends build houses, become pregnant, and plan common life paths - parents and grandparents follow the journey eagerly and wait for the children to come home - beaches remain beaches and eventually you no longer notice the differences - backpacks get heavier and you prefer to get comfortable - deciding where to go with so many amazing countries in the world - spending more and more money even though you're actually ready for routine and tasks in everyday life...
As soon as these thoughts arise and both of you have them at the same time, you should rethink and make new plans, and that's what we did in Sydney. This was exactly the right place.
At Trudy's beautiful Cronulla, we were able to sort out our thoughts in peace, meet with Katha and Justin in Manly to get their experienced perspective, and receive familial advice while strolling along the Opera House and Circular Quay with Sebastian and Antje.
So the days pass by, where we take small excursions in beautiful 25 degrees and sun, have coffee, and stroll through the city. The new plans slowly take shape.
One thing is certain: we love Sydney and will stay here for a few more days until we leave for Bali on the 4th of December... And what's next?
