First European in NZ?

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 18.01.2018

Yes, yes, James Cook is ubiquitous here as a European explorer, buuuuut he wasn't the first! It was the Dutchman Abel Tasman, although he never set foot on land, as he was frightened by the Maori (which says a lot about the courage of our neighbors), but he was good enough to get a national park. This park is located far north on the South Island and is a feast for the eyes! The best way, as we did, is to explore the coast and the water animals by kayak first, and then explore the land on foot. It's just amazing to see the insights and outlooks you can get 😮 As always, see for yourself!
Please excuse the pictures taken with the kayak, it was a bit bumpy and a camera has already disappeared into the ocean 😬
