Arrival in Auckland

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 28.12.2016

I was very kindly and warmly received by acquaintances in Auckland. They live outside the city where it is a bit more rural. I took two buses to get to my acquaintances and then was picked up at the bus stop.

Since I arrived early in the morning, I arrived at my accommodation for a few nights in the afternoon. To counteract the jet lag, I was advised to stay awake until at least 6 p.m. It was quite a challenge. To keep me from sleeping, we went to Muriwai Beach.

In the following days, for example, I was in the city.

I have to tell you something too... There were some birds in Auckland that I didn't know, but I found the Pukeko to be the most interesting. It can't fly high or far, so it looks more like it's trying to fly. This one was in our garden one morning and wanted to tear all the flowers out of the ground with two of its friends.

So I had a nice and relaxed start to my journey. I'm looking forward to stopping by there again on the way back :-)
