St. Peter in the Black Forest

Of course, you will want to know how we transported the roses?

Today we left our apartment in Alsace, which we would like to recommend: Gite de la Grange in Dangolsheim

Contact: Audrey Fluck

The drive to the Black Forest to St. Peter was very beautiful, first it became flatter around Strasbourg. We noticed that we didn't even eat an Alsatian Flammkuchen...oh well, they also have it here in the Black Forest :-) besides, I have Jutta's recipe...and Jutta's old home Kehl is practically next to Strasbourg. Back in Germany, we drove along the Badische Weinstraße through the Breisgau region. The mountains became closer again and we continuously drove uphill on wonderful roads. Fortunately, our concern that we would leave the mountains along with Alsace did not prove to be true! We went up to Kendel (1241 m), where we had a great coffee break.

We were able to watch various paragliders preparing and taking off.

My conclusion: quite exciting and definitely not for me, I prefer to ride a motorcycle :-)

St. Peter is located 12 km downhill at an altitude of about 700 m.

Once again, we found ourselves in a very nice place! A wonderful holiday apartment at the end of a cul-de-sac, and this time even with its own terrace!

In addition, the town is within walking distance, so you can also go without a motorcycle.

In the evening, we went out and found a nice restaurant. And we immediately found it in the 'Gaststüberl'.

There was venison goulash, boiled beef with horseradish sauce and very delicious quince/pineapple sorbet. Truly delicious, we could not have done it better ourselves...and that says something!

Afterwards, we went to the old monastery courtyard for the evening program 'Under the Linden Tree' with the folk dance group and bell ringers. Very nice and very local :-)

And that's it once again. Best regards from us and see you soon!
