Au Pair Life

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 12.11.2017

Next week, my au pair life continued 'normally', taking care of the kids! :)

We had a lot of fun, especially on a few days with great weather, we were able to do many things outdoors. I always enjoy going out of the house with them because the day flies by and the kids can experience new things. Unfortunately, it's a bit more tiring because especially the little one often doesn't get enough sleep throughout the day, as she has more rest at home. Therefore, I often have to make sure to keep the activities small and we either do something in the morning or in the afternoon, so that both can take a nap in between... and me too ;)

That's where the morning meeting of the 'Botanic Kids' at the botanical garden here at the lake in Ballarat was a great opportunity. I discovered the event on Facebook and signed up my kids right away. The event for children up to 5 years old is free and teaches them playful knowledge about the garden and the plants there. There is also a craft and game program and at the end, we have a picnic together :)

Harry was especially impressed by the many different plants and made many new friends!

On another day this week, we went to the big city library for 'Story and Playtime', which is offered several times a week. Here, for half an hour, various songs and rhymes are sung with the children, as well as small group games played and of course stories are read. It is a great thing for Harry, as he loves reading and we have books piled up in our house :) Unfortunately, it is not always easy for him to sit still and listen during reading ;)
