So, we're back at sea. After the busy ports, it's time to relax a bit.
What happened so far:
We depart from Antwerp on Wednesday, April 4th at 10am and arrive back in Rotterdam the same evening.
On April 5th, we leave Rotterdam at 5pm heading towards Bremerhaven, where we will arrive at 3pm the next day. Here, the last containers for overseas will be loaded.
On Saturday, April 7th at 1pm, we leave Bremerhaven towards Miami (the stops in Charleston and Savannah have been cancelled). We are currently in the English Channel. We are sailing at a slow speed of 10 knots (18.5km/h) to avoid a low pressure system in front of us. Even with these modern, large ships, you don't just sail into a storm.
Expected arrival in Miami is on April 18th at 5pm.
Summary so far:
Boring 0%
Super exciting 100%
I hope the approximately 10-day crossing of the Atlantic will be a bit calmer, so that I can finally study my travel guides for Central America and visit the engine room and the entire cargo deck.
